Bosco Celebrates Liam McLinskey’s 3rd period goal

West Orange, NJ –  After suffering two one goal losses earlier in the season to Gordon conference rival and number two seeded, Pope John, the Ironmen entered

the NJSIAA Non Public Semi-Final with something to prove.  Senior Captain Ryan McLinskey (2g, 1a) broke the scoreless tie with 52 seconds remaining in the first period.  After a scoreless second period, the Ironmen left no doubt, scoring four goals in the final eight minutes of the third period to defeat the Lions 5-0 and advance to Monday’s championship game.

The Don Bosco defense proved stout again, allowing only 12 shots as Senior goalie, Alexei Masanko posted his 7th shutout of the season.  Liam McLinskey (2g, 1a) and Graham Garlasco (1g) rounded out the goal scoring in the third, while Mickey Burns added four assists and defensemen CJ McGee and John Campomenosi each picked up an assist in the victory.  Don Bosco will face the winner of Delbarton/CBA, Monday March 6th, 4:30 pm at Mennen Ice Arena.
