The Don Bosco Prep Hockey Program is focused on helping our student athletes reach their fullest potential, both in the classroom and on the ice.  We provide an atmosphere for our young men to have the confidence to succeed in any situation.

Our players learn how to compete effectively and with integrity in any setting, how to be a contributing member of our team, how to provide leadership and how to be resilient after defeat or victory. We believe that these lessons instill and strengthen those qualities that add to success in our students’ personal, as well as future professional lives.

Our Varsity team is a member of New Jersey’s elite high school league, the Gordon Conference.  Gordon Conference members include: Christian Brothers Academy, Delbarton, Gloucester Catholic, St. Peter’s Prep, Pope John, St. Augustine, Seton Hall Prep, St. Joseph’s Regional and Bergen Catholic.  Our home rink is the Ice Vault in Wayne, NJ.

In addition to Gordon Conference opponents, the Ironmen play a rigorous non-league schedule against both in state and out of state opponents.  Opponents over the years have included The Portledge School (NY), Suffern HS (NY),  Boston College HS (MA), Central Catholic (MA), Fairfield Prep (CT) and The Hill School (PA).  The program has and will continue to play as many top level opponents as we can.

Our Junior Varsity team plays an Independent Schedule with home games at the Ice Vault, as well as competing against top level JV teams both in and out of state.  In past years our JV schedule has included games against Iona Prep, Fairfield Prep, Lawrenceville Academy as well as Gordon Conference teams such as St Peters Prep, Seton Hall, CBA and Delbarton.  The JV Season concludes with a Playoff Series against the top JV teams from the Gordon Conference.  Junior Varsity practices once a week at the Ice Vault.  Roster size can vary on the Junior Varsity level.
